Project Title

COMMON LANGUAGE RESOURCE AND TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE (CLARIN-D)

Project Goals

CLARIN-D is the German joint project within the European research syndicate CLARIN. This project aims to create an integrated, interoperable and scalable research infrastructure for language-centered research in the humanities and social sciences. CLARIN focusses especially on the requirements of philological disciplines on text annotation or skills for semantic analyses. Linguistic data, skills und services should be easier available as up to now.

The GWDG takes part of the development of EPIC API version 2 in order of the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, located in Nijmegen.

The GWDG is responsible for PID services. PID is a persistant identifier to ensure its long-lasting accessibility of data and is part of a strategy for the long-term preservation.
